James Talmadge Brown, an American sportscaster renowned for hosting The James Brown Show and The NFL Today on CBS Sports, recently won the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The three-time Emmy winner who received his Lifetime Achievement award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Science on May 22, 2024, didn’t just gain attention from people for his achievement and his significant change in physique.

James Brown also tried to maintain weight by hiring a nutritionist in 2008 and loading his plate with more fish and vegetables in small portions.

Likewise, James stated, “You Know, I had been battling this for quite some time, I would always tease and say when I started doing football, I really threw myself into the job and Howie Long, my colleague at Fox, used to tease with a bunch of his buddies.“
James Brown continued by saying that Howie Long said he looked like a swollen tick, which was not a good compliment.
He also revealed that he went to the studio one Sunday excited to tell his colleagues he had lost five pounds; Howie didn’t smile or encourage him.
Instead, Howie stated, “That’s like taking a cup of water out of the Atlantic Ocean. Talk to me when you’ve really lost some weight.“
Moreover, this motivated James Brown to follow a strict weight loss plan. James also stated that a Christian doctor developed his weight-loss program and that the numbers used all have Biblical connotations.
