Haliey Welch Aka Hawk Tuah Girl Suing Interviewer Controversy

Haliey Welch, known online as the “Hawk Tuah Girl,” has shut down recent rumors that she’s suing the creators of the viral video that skyrocketed her to fame, dismissing the speculation as “fake news.”

Welch gained attention after a candid street interview with YouTubers Tim & Dee TV, where they asked her what drives a man wild in bed, and she responded with “Hawk tuah,” a playful sound effect representing an intimate act.

Speculation about a lawsuit surfaced recently, suggesting Welch was taking legal action against the video’s creators, Tim Dickerson and DeArius Marlow.

However, Welch refuted these claims on X (formerly Twitter), suggesting people were merely chasing clout.

The “Hawk Tuah” clip went viral in June, leading Welch to capitalize on her newfound fame by launching a podcast, selling merchandise, and even throwing the first pitch at a New York Mets game. T

he phrase even made its way into a Saturday Night Live skit.

The rumors intensified when the X account @DramaAlert implied that Dickerson and Marlow confirmed the lawsuit.

Welch responded humorously with a meme from Legally Blonde and reiterated that the rumors were false, adding a laughing emoji.

Since becoming famous, Welch has spoken about how her life has changed, including overcoming stage fright and quitting her factory job.

However, not all the attention has been positive, as she humorously shared how her grandfather had to be convinced not to scare off paparazzi who had camped outside her home for two weeks.
