On New Year’s Eve, you can celebrate the end of the year with special events and items.
Here are some things you can do on New Year’s Eve in Animal Crossing:
- Order New Year’s food from different countries, such as Berliner, Twelve-Grape Dish, and New Year’s Noodles, from the Nook Shopping app.
- Get a light stick from Isabelle and party poppers or silk hats from Tom Nook at the Resident Services plaza.
- Talk to your villagers while wearing a silk hat, and they will put one on, too.
- Join the countdown party at the plaza and watch the fireworks show at midnight.
- See the sunrise and sunset on January 1st, the only times you can see the sun in the game.
Animal Crossing Collaboration for 2024
There is a collaboration with Lego that will produce Animal Crossing-themed sets and minifigures in 2024.
Significantly, this is a confirmed partnership between Lego and Nintendo.
It was announced on Nintendo’s Twitter account and later revealed in more detail on Lego’s website.
Generally, the collaboration will include five play experiences.
Further, it allows Lego builders to explore the world and characters from the Animal Crossing: New Horizons game.
The sets will range from $14.99 to $74.99 and launch in March 2024.

These colorful hats cost 500 Bells each and come in four colors: orange, yellow, blue, and aqua.
Further, if you wear them and talk to your villagers, they will wear the same hat.
3. Party Poppers
You can use These festive items to make a loud noise and release confetti. To use them, equip them and press A.
Generally, you can buy them from Tom Nook’s stall on December 31st for 300 Bells for a pack of five.
4. Light Stick
You can wave this item in the air to show your excitement. To use it, equip it and hold A.
Notably, you can get it free from Isabelle outside the Resident Services Plaza on December 31st.
5. New Year’s Day items
You can order eight items from the Nook Shopping app from January 1st to 15th.
Further, you can display them on your island or give them as gifts to your friends.
6. Mom’s Art
This is a cross-stitch piece of landscape art that you can receive from your in-game mom on January 1st.
However, you can find it in your mailbox as a present. You can hang it on your wall or place it on a table.
