What Is The Skull Lever In Baldur’s Gate 3?
The Skull Lever is one of the many buttons that players can interact with in the Dank Crypt.
The Dank Crypt is one of the ancient doors that players can explore in Act 1. Players can find the Crypt beside the overgrown ruins waypoint.
Furthermore, the Crypt also ties into the story of finding Lae’zel and recruiting her into your party after the fall.
Additionally, if you did not save Shadowheart in the aircraft before crashing, you will meet Shadowheart near the Crypt.
You will find her trying to enter the Crypt, where you can recruit her into your party.
Thus, if you try to find the first characters before entering the Crypt, you will have an entire team to enter the Crypt.
How To Access The Skull Lever In Baldur’s Gate 3?
To access the Skull Lever, you must complete a few tasks.
However, completing these tasks will allow you to earn a decent amount of experience.
Follow these steps to access the Skull Lever in Bg3:
1. Enter The Dank Crypt
First, you must enter the Dank Crypt; however, entering the Crypt is not an easy task.
The first method is to sneak to the top of the temple; here, you will find a crane suspending a huge boulder. However, there are bandits below the boulder.
You must destroy the crane, suspending the rock; when the rock falls, it will kill the bandits.
One or two bandits may be left, but you can trounce them.
Furthermore, the rock will also create a hole on top of the temple roof. This will allow you to enter the Dank Crypt quickly.
The other method is to lock and pick the door. However, you must defeat a few bandits before progressing into the lockpicking portion.
2. Enter Through A Door
You will find a locked door after you enter the Dank Crypt on the southwest side of the room.
However, you cannot lockpick this door; instead, head south of the room.
You will find a few bandits there that you must defeat.
In the same room, a light shines from the giant statue, and behind the giant, you will find the Skull Lever.
This Lever will open a locked door on the north side of the room.
Furthermore, after you enter the room, you will find a sarcophagus. Inside, you will find a non-hostile undead named Withers.
He will provide you with philosophical knowledge and later on you can meet him in your camp.

The Skull Lever acts asan excellentt way for players to explore the area in Act 1.
However, since some players may not know how to interact with the Levers or are keen on exploration, the players may choose to destroy the door instead.
Destroying the door is also one of the methods to enter the sarcophagus room.
