Secrets In Tomb Raider Remastered
The concept of secrets was introduced in the first Tomb Raider game and appears in most of the series.
A secret was often discovered hidden away in a room or chamber in the first game.
Furthermore, these included medipacks and ammunition, among other useful items for Lara.
Like the game, it is an expansion too, Tomb Raider: Unfinished Business presents secrets in the same way.
Most of Tomb Raider II’s levels contained three secrets shaped like dragon statues.
This time, however, Lara is required to collect all three secrets in a level to be rewarded with useful items.
Likewise, as opposed to the first game where every individual secret rewarded her with something.
The secrets of Tomb Raider III can be found in the form of medipacks, ammunition, and weapons.
However, some levels also contain bonus areas that can only be accessed by finding a hidden switch or key.
These areas usually contain more secrets and challenges.
How To Find Cave Secrets In Tomb Raider Remastered?
The first level of Tomb Raider Remastered is called Caves, and it is set in the mountains of Peru.
This level introduces the game’s basic mechanics, such as jumping, climbing, swimming, and shooting.
It also contains four secrets that can be found by exploring the different paths and rooms in the caves.
Here is how to find them:
Secret 1
After entering the first large cave with a pool of water, go to the left and climb up the edge.
Follow the passage until you reach a small room with a switch.
You need to pull the switch to open a door on the opposite wall.
Go through the door and follow the corridor until you reach a chamber with a large medipack and some shotgun shells.
Secret 2
After exiting the first large cave, you will enter a smaller cave with a slope and a boulder.
Run down the slope and jump over the pit to avoid the boulder.
Then, turn around and look for a small opening in the wall on the right.
Crawl through the opening and follow the passage until you reach a room with a small medipack and some magnum clips.
Secret 3
After crossing the bridge over the chasm, you will enter a cave with a pool of water and a waterfall.
Then, dive into the water and swim to the left.
You will find a small opening under the waterfall.
Swim through the opening and follow the underwater tunnel until you reach a room with a large medipack.
Secret 4
After climbing up the ladder and entering the final cave, you will see a large door with a switch on the left.
Here, do not pull the switch yet, as it will end the level.
Instead, go to the right and look for a small opening in the wall.
Crawl through the opening and follow the passage until you reach a room with a large medipack.
