Robots And Their Origin In Helldivers 2
The Automatons are intelligent robots that wield firearms and melee weapons and are very powerful.
There are many types of Robots or Automatons in Helldivers 2, with different abilities and skill levels.
However, their origins are a mystery, but their unthinking hatred of freedom makes them a threat to all citizens.
There are standard firearm robots that shoot laser bullets that look like miniature lightsabers.
You’ll also encounter melee robots who run at you with blades and chainsaws attached to their arms.
Ways To Find The Robots In Helldivers 2
The area of Robots named as Automation Faction can be found in the red zone on the left part of the map.
These robots are found patrolling the area, and if you go deep into the area, the main bosses are located there.
However, once you start progressing in Helldivers 2, you’ll find 2 missions that will lead you to robots.
- All Protect Liberty missions
- All Destroy Automatons Operation missions
There in total 8 types of Robots that can be found during these missions in Helldivers 2. They are as follows:
- Trooper, Raider, Marauder: Standard robots with laser guns equipped
- Commissar: A melee robot who also uses a gun with short range and a sword
- Scout Strider: Long-ranged robot who can shoot simultaneously
- Berserker: Melee robot who will run at you at full charge
- Devastator: It’s one of the High leveled robots who fights in an arm battle
- Hulk: Robot Equipped with 2 barrels of Machine Guns attached to his arms
- Tank: A weapon that shoots explosives and is controlled by a robot
- Dropship: Aerial ship that drops bombs dealing huge AOE damage
Ways To Beat Robots In Helldivers 2
Dealing with these robots is not an easy task as their types and ways of attacking are much more superior.
So, prepare yourself before embarking on the Automatons Faction mission in the game.
Follow these ways to beat robots in Helldivers 2:
1. Know Your Enemy
Before diving into battle, take some time to study the robots you’ll be facing in your journey throughout the mission.
Each type of robot may have different strengths, weaknesses, and attack patterns that might catch you off guard.
2. Be Precise With Shots
The standard firearm robots and the grenade-throwing robots can easily be killed by a single well-placed headshot.
Therefore, be precise with your aim and try to hit the head rather than spraying all out.
3. Use Right Weapons
Just like in any good fight, having the right tools at the right time can make all the difference in the outcome.
Hence, if you see a group of standard robots in an area, don’t hesitate to use a grenade to blow them off at once.

Stealth is more viable to use around Automatons as they can rush at you at once when they spot you in the area.
