What Is A Chicken Hawk?
In GTA 5, Chicken Hawk refers to the Red-tailed Hawk you can encounter in the open world.
It’s not an official in-game name but an informal term players and fans use.
They have reddish-brown bodies, lighter bellies, and a distinctive rust-colored tail with a dark band at the tip.
They mostly cruise high up, searching for prey like rodents, rabbits, and sometimes, yes, even chickens.
You can’t interact with them in any way besides photographing them for the Wildlife Photography Challenge (PS4/Xbox One only).
Where To Find A Chicken Hawk In GTA 5?
There are two central location where you can find Chicken Hawk in GTA 5:
1. Davis Quarry, Grand Senora Desert
This is the most reliable spot to find Chicken Hawks.
Head to Omega’s house, marked with a blue “O” on the map, in the eastern part of the desert.
Once there, look up to the sky and scan for the Chicken Hawks soaring around.
They’re relatively common in this area, so you shouldn’t wait too long to spot one.
2. Dirt Track Off The East Highway
The dirt track off the east highway out of Vinewood Hills is less reliable than Davis Quarry.
However, it’s still worth checking out if you’re in the area.
Just drive to the dirt track and keep an eye on the sky.
The Chicken Hawks here tend to fly lower to the ground, so you might have a better chance of getting a good look at them.
